Location
Atop a buttress in the Madikwe Game Reserve, in the North West Province of South Africa, prepare to be transfixed by the splendour of nature untouched. This malaria-free territory has been innovatively built among the rocks and ancient Tamboti trees in the centre of the Madikwe. With this placement, our guests have a safari experience that visitors to lodges on the borders of the Madikwe could never fathom, and our guests will never forget.
Accommodation and Facilities
All suites connect to the main lodge via winding wooden walkways, lit up at night by lanterns, where the facilities of library, bar, lounge and wine cellar are always open. The dining area is an architectural marvel, where mammoth pieces of Leadwood trees hold up the domed ceiling.
A maximum of 24 guests fill the suites at one time at Madikwe. The 10 suites are open-plan quarters, walled by glass windows that can be thrown open to soak in the breath-taking fields of the Madikwe reserve. From four-post beds swathed in muslin to plush furnishing of wood, leather and stone, guests will never be short of a decadent moment. Each deck holds its own refreshing pool from which visitors can cool off from the afternoon heat whilst watching the herds of animals ambling through the fields a stretch away. Parents can feel relieved knowing that the lounge contains a selection of movies to keep the children entertained.
The Honeymoon Suite is a tantalisingly free experience with a secluded outdoor clawfoot bath overlooking the terrain and endless blue skies of Africa.
Suites 9 and 10 can be combined to form a Private Villa, ideal for small groups and families of up to 8 guests. Here, a butler is at your exclusive service, meeting every need you have. You will also have a game ranger and vehicle committed to your adventure, allowing you to have safaris at your discretion.
