Situated beside the boulder speckled banks of the Sand River, Boulder’s lodge is a place of peace, freedom and sunlit grace that courses through the land. Taking cue from the boulders on which it was built, the lodge is a welcoming refuge where authentic designs blend effortlessly with the bushveld. You will see the wildlife from an abundance of angles with the articulate glass-walled architecture allowing an unencumbered connection with them.
Accommodation and facilities
Boulders Lodge offers 8 sublime River Suites where you can stay connected to the tributary that is the lifeblood of the abounding wildlife. 2 Bush Suites gaze out over the frequented watering hole and untamed wilderness. 2 Family Suites round off the accommodation, where families sit around the stone fireplace or splash about in the heated plunge pool. Children over the age of 10 are welcome.
Each antiquely adorned suite hosts a private sitting room, en suite bedroom, and a plunge pool. It’s easy to spot game from the viewing deck due to its intelligent height over the wilderness. Ossified tree stumps, slabs of rock, and wrought iron are part of every suite, fashioned into furnishings of a rustic nature. Contrast these with the gentle touch of cotton towels, natural-flax bed linen and decadent sheepskin rugs and you have a dichotomy that can only be natural in the wild.
