Singita Sasakwa

Location

Within northern Tanzania’s Grumeti Reserves, Singita Sasakwa forms part of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem, teeming with the plethora of wildlife in a setting that is far more natural, authentic and protected.

Lodge and Accommodation

The colonial charm of the manor house is home to the communal areas of the lodge. Here, eloquence in design, luxury and exquisite taste are commanded through the infusion of European and East African resplendence.

The infinity pool offers a relaxing spot in which to soak in the cool afternoons and the breath-taking views of the panoramic and never-ending grasslands of the Serengeti. The library, spa, gym and boutique store are on hand for guests to soak in the antiquarian luxury that is still as comfortable and inviting as ever.

The 9 cottages were designed for customised experiences of the Serengeti. Each, evenly spaced for intimacy, has en-suite facilities, spacious interiors of elegant and careful completion and a private deck with a serene pool that overlooks the expansive Grumeti Reserve. A combination of one, two and three bedroom cottages satisfy the needs of all guests.

However, the villa is ideal for bigger families. With 4 bedrooms, ample room in the lounge quarters and a host of en-suite facilities, the villa turns the Serengeti into your personal garden. The old-fashioned furnishings, brass chandeliers and history framed along the walls, remind each guest of the turn-of-the-century life that flowed through this lodge. Complete with an infinity pool and wide timber deck, your game viewing begins here.

Activities and Wildlife

Game drives led by some of the most intrepid and experienced rangers in Africa give you an insight into the land that few can match. Move through the different biomes, early in the morning or late in the afternoon, where the animals spring into activity and bound into your sights. During the Great Migration, you’ll see the lands turn grey as the wildebeests stream in, their numbers approaching the hundreds of thousands. They will be closely followed by the lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, which see this as a fine opportunity that can’t be passed up.

Archery, star-gazing upon the shimmering night sky and visits to the local communities will make your stay even more memorable.
