The Zambia Portfolio has been divided into regions for ease of navigation.
Region – Kafue National Park
The Kafue National Park is one of the largest parks in Africa. The 22 500 km² park is fed by three rivers, the Lufupa in the north-west and the Lunga and Kafue in the north-east. In summer, the Lufupa Channel floods and creates a large floodplain delta that attracts thousands of waterbirds. The Lunga and Kafue rivers are wide and slow-flowing, banded by riverine forest. In the extreme north of Kafue lies the Busanga Plains which is one of Zambia’s most significant wetland resources. The Park has the highest mammal species diversity in Zambia due to this interesting habitat mix and the birdlife is incredible with its variety.
Region – Livingstone
Livingstone, named after the famous missionary explorer David Livingstone, is a historic and colonial town and a tourism centre for the Victoria Falls. Close to the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls, Livingstone has become the base for all travellers wishing to explore this Seventh Wonder of the World.

Region – Lower Zambezi National Park
The Lower Zambezi National Park is one of one of Zambia’s newest wilderness parks and is still relatively undeveloped. The Park lies opposite the well known Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, thus the entire area on both sides of the river forms a huge wildlife sanctuary.

Region – South Luangwa National Park
It has been said that the 9050km2 South Luangwa is one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. There is a huge concentration of game around the Luangwa River and the lagoons. The Luangwa River forms the life of the park and is host to a wide variety of wildlife, birds and vegetation. The changing seasons add to the South Luangwa’s richness and with the progression of the dry season, game concentrate close to the river in large numbers as water sources further away begin to dry up. The famous ‘walking safari’ originated in this park and is one of the best ways to experience this pristine wilderness.
