Within the bountiful confines of the Mana Pools National Park, Little Ruckomechi has a familiar and cosy feel to it. Nestled amongst the ancient Albida trees and near the banks of the churning Zambezi, you’ll never be far from the animals and the action they’re bound to bring with them.
Lodge and Accommodation
From sparkling pool to timber deck, lounge and dining area, guests are never far from a place to pick up their feet and unspool the afternoon. The tented suites are constructed on raised wooden decks, giving each room a view that is unrivalled in the area.
The interior of each suite holds an air of luxury. The decor echoes of Edwardian ages where brass, wood and canvas were all that an explorer needed to embrace the unknown lands of Africa. With this said, every step has been taken to merge this noble essence with a spirit of fresh style.
Activities and Wildlife
Game drives in the morning or late afternoon catch the Mana Pools animals in all sorts of activities. These are the best times to view game. Allow the expert guides to take you on a drive, stopping for sundowners beside the most picturesque places the concession can boast. All game drives happen within the Little Ruckomechi concession, which is so vast that it’s difficult to see everything it offers on a single stay.
Birding, cruises along the river and walks in nature are activities that all guests can experience during their stay. Fishing with a strict catch-release policy is also on hand. Here you’ll have the chance to ply your wits against the tilapia, barbell and tiger fish that navigate the Zambezi.
